GNPVA Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is composed of nine to fifteen members who serve without compensation for a three year term. The officers are a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer and serve for a two year term. The board meets monthly from September to May. The Annual business meeting of GNPVA occurs in May of each year during the annual Volunteer Day.

MEMBERSHIP:

Maintain membership list information, provide Treasurer with information from online membership forms, provide mailing labels as needed, send out October membership renewal letter.

HISTORICAL DATABASE:

Archive GNPVA Articles, Photos, Etc.

TECHNOLOGY:

Maintenance of GNPVA website, Constant Contact emails, Facebook

MEMBERSHIP COMMUNICATIONS:

Layout of Fall and Spring Newsletters, provide digital copy to Technology Committee, Care and Operation of Equipment for Public Presentations.

VOLUNTEER DAY:

Plan and organize Volunteer Day, including reserving the Community Center, organizing the food and handling
the publicity.

WORK PROJECTS:

Organize work project participation on projects requested by the park.

NOMINATIONS:

Find candidates to fill board seats, including officers.

WINTER SPEAKER SERIES:

Plan and coordinate the Winter Speakers Series, coordinating the speakers and arranging the publicity.

RANGER INTERN FUNDRAISER:

Writing, printing and mailing the September letter to the membership.

AUDIT:

Arranging for the annual audit.

MINI WORK WEEKS:

This is a tentative committee.
