A Great Way to Help Glacier National Park!
Below Are a Few of the Projects Tentatively Scheduled
1. Empty Tally Ho Garage w/ Melissa Sladek (4 GNPVA folks minimum)
2. Set up 2 publications garages w/Melissa Sladek (4 GNPVA folks minimum)
3. Scrape and stain the Education Center porch and the adjoining bathroom porch w/ Eric Pels from Campgrounds (4 GNPVA folks minimum)-the paint has flaked off, so our Campgrounds folks have decided stain will last longer.
4. Readying Fish Creek Campground for use: collecting brush and loading it into the dump trailer. Also painting picnic tables, painting kiosks, maybe spreading around some gravel w/ Casey Funk from Campgrounds (4 GNPVA folks minimum + any extra folks),
More information on each project will be provided on volunteer day. Thanks and hope to see a great turnout.
This is a great way to help the park and meet people with a like interest—volunteering in the park we all love! Trail maintenance is also a popular activity, with crews of volunteers working with park staff to get trails ready and open for the summer season. And the carpentry shop hums along with volunteers helping on projects like new kiosks, window replacements and staining and painting.
