On March 22, Jeff Mow, Superintendent of Glacier National Park gave an eye opening and detailed account of Park operations under the mandates of Covid-19 during the coming season. It will be a challenging summer regarding staffing, housing, traffic, and crowd control and continued limited services. Ticketed entry for the GTSR corridor is a possible tool for traffic control and will present a significant challenge to staff and visitors alike. Road construction will present further challenges to travel in and around the Park. Below are some of the pictures and graphs Jeff used to illustrate problems to be dealt with during the coming season. Thank you, Jeff, for this highly informative presentation.
