2020 GNPVA Winter Speaker Series took place on Monday February 24th at the Northwest Montana History Museum in Kalispell. This was the second installment of the year. Sierra Mandelko, the Cultural Resources Program Manager at Glacier National Park, presented an interesting and very informative program on finding and protecting the cultural resources in the park, including artifacts, mining sites, historic places and trails, and many more.. Sierra also touched on topics like the importance of tribal relations, ethnography, archaeology and historic architecture. And, she passed around a sampling of artifacts discovered in and around the park.
