2022 – August - GNP hosted a volunteer appreciation gathering at Heavens Peak Restaurant on August 25. It was wonderful to have this get-together after two years of not being able to because of COVID. Such a treat to see familiar faces again, so many of us are scattered throughout the Park, so this was great. GNP department staff gave reviews on various projects that volunteers were involved in this year. Cheryl Klein, GNPVA Project Coordinator gave an overview of some of what we do.

Of course, this year as in last year many of the hours worked by volunteers were for the vehicle reservation system. We also had an opportunity to meet the new GNP Superintendent, Dave Roemer, who gave thanks for all the hours volunteers have given to the Park this year.
